New Year

Now THOSE are a pair of Ruby Slippers!

Well here it is again, that made-up date we call New Year. I say made up, because the calendar has changed several times over the centuries. Also the old Celtic New Year was Samhain, or Halloween, the chinese New Year is usually in February. No doubt everyone will be thinking that at the stroke of midnight all their troubles will vanish, leaving another New Year to make fresh mess in.

The best advice I can give anyone at this time of the year is: the only way you clear the crap from the previous year is to work through it and talk. Four things you should do tonight to clear the old year away:

  • Tell someone tonight that you are sorry for something you said or did in 2010 that upset them;
  • Tell someone you love them;
  • Make a promise to someone—-AND KEEP IT.
  • Make someone laugh–a laugh can break joy free from a closed mind or heart, as well as healing mind, body and spirit.

Stick to these four things and 2011 stands a better chance of being a better year.

Have fun and enjoy xx

    Great advice Randy…….will try and follow it x

  3. Much better than resolutions to diet until insanity sets in. Keeping a promise–wow–now that’s a novel concept.
